World’s #4 ranking - University of California, Berkeley was established in 1868. It is located in Berkeley, California. The California University is a public research university and there are three education plans under this university includes California Community education system, California state university and public higher education plan.


University of California was ranking sixth position by Times Higher Education in 2016 and the University of California, Berkeley was ranking 4th position. The other positions recorded under specific categories including 1st position of ranking on Engineering, Chemistry, Physics; third in computer science, fourth in economics and Business, fourth in mathematics. The Berkeley offers the 4 years full time programs for undergraduates. There are 106 Bachelor's degree offered by university including College of Chemistry - 5, Hass School of Business - 1, College of Letters and Science - 67, College of Environmental Design - 3, college of Natural resources - 10, and College of Engineering - 20 degrees. Undergraduate degrees come from the Berkeley Campus, university of California system, the department and the school or college. The requirement includes SAT or ACT.

The freshman enrollment at undergraduate in 2016 is only 14.8%. However, there were 73% student’s undergraduates programs and only 39% student’s graduate and professional programs. There were more than 82,000 applications received in 2015 for undergraduate programs, the admit rate is only 14.8%. The five years data shows that the rate of admit was higher in 2011 by 25.5%, however about 53,000 applications was received in 2011.

There are 32 libraries of Berkeley, which is 4th ranking academic library in the USA including Yale University Library, University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign Library and Harvard University Library. The global ranking of the university is 4th position in 2016 and reputation is the best college and university.
