Technology was established in 1861 and opened in 1865 in Cambridge,
Massachusetts, United States. MIT is a research base university by private
sector and top university in the world. MIT is #1 university and there are
11,319 students (Undergraduate students - 4,512 and Postgraduate students -
6,807) in 2016 report. MIT has more than 140,000 alumni and 1,000 faculty
members.
MIT presently offering various
research areas including nanotechnology, human health, climate adaptation, HIV,

Undergraduate Programs:
It is four-year programs and MIT offers
44 undergraduate degrees in its 5 schools. Major programs are computer science
and engineering, electrical engineering, physics and mathematics and electrical
engineering courses. There are other programs including humanities, management,
and architecture and planning, arts & social sciences etc.
Post Graduate Programs:
MIT offers graduate programs
including MBA, MCP, MEng, MFin, Master of Science in Real Estate Development,
Master of Science (MS), Master of Architecture (March), Doctor of Philosophy
(PhD) and Doctor of Science (ScD). According to previous record more than 90% PhD
courses are under fellowship.
There are five subject related library in MIT. Rotch Library
for Arts and Architecture, Barker Library for Engineering, Hayden Library for
Humanities and Science and Dewey Library for Economics. According to MIT
libraries there are over 3 million printed volumes, over 50,000 electronics or
print journal subscription and 2.5 million micro-forms. MIT also has 670 reference
databases. MIT founded museum in 1971 and basically focused for culture and
history of MIT. The museum also annually organize various public programs and
festival.
